1. Two categories    BEGINNERS and  INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED

Definition of Beginner. A beginner is someone who has just taken up photography, and who has limited experience and skill.

Any person who joins the club may elect to participate in competitions in any category. Any member who has been a member of another club and has participated in a particular category in the other club will be expected to join a similar, or more advanced, category at Mid Calder Camera Club. Any member who wins any of the categories will move up to the next category for subsequent seasons. Members may only compete in both Print and PI sections at the same level.

2. Up to THREE entries in each category ( Prints and Projected Image ) per competition per member. Only the top nine scores from a possible 12 will count toward the overall year ending score.

3. Prints must be mounted and shall not be greater than 20 x 16 inches including mount. All prints must have the following information on the back of the print.
a)  Title
b)  Club Membership Number 
c)  Class Entered
d)  Competition Entered

4. Digital Images submitted in the projected images section must adhere to the following.
a) 1024 x 683 pixel size in JPEG file format
b)  Be identified as follows

B_001_c1_TITLE.jpeg
or
IA_001_c1_TITLE.jpeg

Where B or IA is class entered
001 is membership number (see club membership list here)
c1 is competition ( could be c2, c3, c4 etc )
TITLE is authors chosen title for that image

5. Slides entered for the projected image section must have the same information written on the slide mount and be properly spotted to aid projection.

6. All entries must be submitted on the appropriate submission day. Usually this will be three weeks before the competition night.
