Hi Guys

Yes, for Nikon users we want the D700 or even the newly announced D3X, and for Canon users, its the Canon 50D or even the 5D.BUT what recommend products would be a good and useful present for the members of MCCC this Christmas

I'll start the ball rolling - if you fancy a new fleece to go out for these stunning landscapes in the snow or even just a brisk walk up the Pentland hills, I recommend this fleece. I got one last year and is very warm, comfortable and does what it says on the tin - breathable, windproof and supposed to be waterproof (not been out in the rain with it). Good value and trust me, you don't need a jumper underneath, only your new trusty MCCC polo shirt. Consider getting a size bigger than you would normally get as the lining takes up a bit of space and you will get a better fit if you go one size up. Get it from here: - http://www.stewardsons.co.uk/product.php/2/fastnet_fleece_jacket

Now what other products would MCCC members recommend to their mates in the club - Don't be shy now!!

Cheers

Hey Nikon Dudes & Dudettes - I thought you'd be hoping Sanat would bring the new 24.5 mega pixel D3X see this link http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/content_page.asp?cid=7-9318-9779

What I want, (what I really really want!) is a big box of time dedicated to taking pictures!!!

Seriously though - I've just been forced into buying a new tripod (my old Velbon finally gave up the ghost after about 20 years Sad) and having shopped about I came across a brand name that is new to me - Camlink. First thoughts are that it is better quality than Velbon/ Slik and at least as good as Manfrotto/ Cullman.

I bought the top level pro model and it really does seem to be the business - strong, sturdy, well made and complete with quick release plate. Prices on the web are exactly the same as in Jessops and a couple of other retailers down south. Go to www.fameart.co.uk for details.
