Hi All,

I felt that I should clarify the .....Scapes choice. Wiki has it as "Landscape comprises the visible features of an area of land, including physical elements such as landforms, associated water bodies such as rivers, lakes and the sea, living elements of flora and fauna, abstract elements like lighting and weather conditions, and human elements like human activity and the built environment".

But I thought that I would broaden the choice by calling it  ....Scapes. This would include the above Landscapes as well as Seascapes which would include anything coastal, the sea, estuaries, and open lochs - any thing with a mix of land-sea inter-visibility. As well as CityScapes which would include architectural, buildings (in or out), cities towns, and basically anything urban.

Hope this helps, Willie

No trees were destroyed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Hello All,

Here is more information about MONOCHROME from Wikipedia:

For an image, the term monochrome is usually taken to mean the same as black-and-white or, more likely, grayscale, but may also be used to refer to other combinations containing only tones of a single color, such as green-and-white or green-and-black.

It may also refer to sepia displaying tones from light tan to dark brown or cyanotype (“blueprint”) images, and early photographic methods such as Ambrotype, Tintype  and Daguerreotype, each of which may be used to produce a monochromatic image.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monochrome

Monochrome is a good theme because it is a section in a couple of inter-club competitions and the club does very well in these competitions when monochrome is an appraisal theme. Plus, it is the widest theme in terms of subject matter.

Happy voting!

Please be aware that you can only cast your two votes at the same time. If you only vote once then press submit there is no way to record your second vote.
