Here's one for all the Nature Photographers among us.
Just heard that the otters have returned to the River Almond.

Good for us nature photography fans. But I didn't know the otters had left the Almond. I saw one a few months ago near the visitor centre. The same day I was talking to some fishermen on the river who were after salmon and sea trout - that came as a surprise to me .

spok to my uncle who was the park ranger for 30 odd yars - just retired last year or something  and apparently there is still plenty salmon and otters about, its just spotting them, as they tend to be in teh quieter areas of the park.  Ill find out a good few locations next time i see him, aunt isnt very well just now so not wanting to bug him. he also mentioned some nest sites of birds and owls.

i was down a few weeks ago, amazed to see that my old gold fish are still in the visitor centre pond! i got them back int eh days of winnign them at the gala day!
