Just to give you advance notice of the main UK Photographic Equipment exhibition which takes place at the Birmingham NEC every year.
The next event takes place in March 2011 - 6th to the 9th March and is open to all.

Stuart Robertson and I attended the event for the first time this year and had a really good day out. Everything you can think of is on display from the latest products - cameras and lens - through to membership organisations and new software. You really do get a chance to handle all the latest toys. Equally many of the stands house conference facilities where famous photographers give talks on their pet subjects. This year for example, we managed to get in on a talk by Andy Rouse the world famous Wildlife photographer who has a wonderful presentation style and sense of humour.

I intend to travel on the 7th March.

Costs - you have to pay to get in and I think it is £10.
Flights - Flybe fly direct from Edinburgh - I regret no cheap option for next year - and flights can be had for approx £80 pp return.

I really recommend this as an eye opener to the Photographic world and cheaper travel arrangements - bus/train are obviously available.

Kindest Regards

George

I'm planning on going to this one as well. I was at the 2009 show and I was amazed at all the gear on show. Plus they let you handle the goods lol Grin
