Wow - amazing what technology can do nowadays! Seriously though -well done to everyone in the club who's investing time, skill and energy in the website and now - the forum. Not only does it give us an avenue for discussion but helps us to keep up with vents on the evining or sessions we miss due to work etc.

Really happy with this guys you are to be commended.
If we don't have the best Camera Club web site in the country - I will be amazed!
All your efforts truly appreciated.

Hi To Everyone
I feel I must join the others to say a big thanks to everyone involved in setting up the Forum and the website in general it is magnificent. Being as how I lack knowledge in computer stuff I have one question, is it possible to talk with someone who is on-line at the same time you are like a chat room for instance?
If I don't make it on Wed I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year Cheers!

We can have a chat room feature if everybody wants this. Another button will be added to the top of everyone's page, and at the bottom of the page it will announce who is in the chat room. Sort of like now, with - who is on the forum.
A word of caution - This is a major (3rd Party) modification to the forum. The more modifications we make to the forum the further we are away from the original, and when it comes time to upgrade to the latest version of the forum, this can sometimes lead to functionality problems. Some modifications to the database cannot be undone. So the worst case scenario would be to scrap the forum and start it over again from the beginning.
Perhaps it would be best to see how the forum develops "as is" for a while and work within the current limits, and see how everyone feels about adding a chat room later on.

AAARGHH!!! Another bit of technology for me to get my head round!
Seriously though - HUGE thanks to Willie and any one else who had a hand in setting this up. I'm trying to find out how we enter/ are nominated/ nominate ourselves for the Council sponsored awards for "Best Web Site" etc.
