Members, including Fred and Ian G., are attending.
Ian has three seats in his car available - let him know via this forum if you would like to travel there with him.
Ian is going to contact a competitor's father to find out best locations for good action shots.
Watch this space for more information from Ian and Fred.

An update. The Jim Clark Reivers Rally takes place in the Duns area on Sunday 29 May. If you look at the link in the previous post , on the Home page you can search for the stages for the Sunday event shown under the info re Road Closures. The actual rally routes will be within the road closure areas. I am told the event is quite compact with 45 miles of special stages all on tarmac country roads.
There are other events on the Friday and Saturday which should be ignored.
This is the only road-only event in the Scottish Rally Championships and I am advised that there will be some high speed stuff to photograph. There are 4 special stages on the Sunday which are to be run twice and my friend suggests Moon annd Star and the Edrome stages will be the best for actions shots.
Later this week I am getting info on the stages from Robbie Head one of the competitors - the actual routes and the start times and details on the best places to go to . Once this info is to hand it will be a case of making detailed plans. Robbie was Colin McRae's co-driver and is now involved in TV work and I am friendly with his parents.
I have space for 3 in my car and can pick up at the Park and Ride at Hermiston and head off to Grantstown area for the first stage. Departure could be around 7.30am to allow for time to get to the action spot on the Moon and Star stage and moving to Edrom later in the day. We will also have access to the service area as well. Please let me know if you are interested in going - other cars may be required depending on numbers. Ian

Me too, I'll pick up Rab and Fred and meet you at the parking at Hemiston Gate (South West corner) - Thanks Ian!

I have a full car for the trip to the Jim Clark Rally on Sunday. If anyone else can get together a car load let me know and I will speak to you re our plans for Sunday regarding where we plan to go to watch the various stages and timings etc. - we are meeting up at Hermiston Park & Ride at 7.0am to ensure we arrive at the first stage with time to walk in to the vantage point before the roads are closed.
