Wednesday 10Th August Field Trip to the Edinburgh's Royal Mile (Weather permitting)

The 2011 Festival Fringe runs from 5 - 29 August 2011

Again it is that time of year when Edinburgh streets come alive with all kinds of street artists performing in the streets of Edinburgh and more so the Royal Mile, which is always entertaining so why not have a bash at some street photography? My plans are that we will meet at the Institute Hall, Mid Calder. No later than 7pm - Parking in Castle Street car park is not cheap £5.40 for 2 hours and £9.90 for 4 hours, Castle Terrace parking is £2.00 per 1 Hour if you can get in there with the Tattoo ON Yes I know some of you will say why not use the Bus park and rides - yes that is another way to get in and out of Edinburgh - it cost £2.40 return on the bus and the drawback is the not knowing what time you'll get a bus back. My point is if I can arrange that we fill as many cars as possible and share the parking it will be cheaper around for example I can take 5 so for £2.00 we can park for 4 hours and knowing we can leave when we want to. Last year we found that 2 hours was enough but we really need to be on the streets no later than 7.30pm – Should the weather be bad we will postpone and go for the next Wednesday.

If you are interested attending this field trip please add your Real names to this list and if you are willing to take your car or happy to car & parking cost share. If you plan to be in Edinburgh and want to meet us at the car park then also let me know and if you require a seat back to Mid Calder.

Can those member's who are willing to take their car to Edinburgh and along with those of you who are wishing / requiring to car share / lift can you please add your name and the time that you would be able to be at I.H On Wednesday, this will help me to fill as many cars as possible to cut the parking cost, also we can pick up at Heriot-Watt  Park & Ride.

Thanks...

Kind Regards Fred

Hi Fred, I'm planning to go - weather permitting. I was hoping for a lift but by the looks of things you already have a full load.  If Rachel's travelling with you I'll text her to find out where you all are, when I get to Edinburgh.  Here's hoping the weather is as good as today!!
