Just so you know the Gov in their wisdom has said that Leuchars will close as an airbase sometime in the next 18 months.
Consequently the future of the Airshow - which takes place in September is uncertain to say the least. Therefore it is possible that the 2011 airshow will be the last.

I will be attending but health means I will be limited in activity and possibly restricted to certain areas of the airfield. However I hope some of you will support this event?

See link to book http://www.airshow.co.uk/

Kindest Regards

I was there two years ago, the first time since my Dad took me in the late 70's. Fantastic day out but the parking logistics were as good as I remembered. Luckily we were parked on the end of a row next to the perimeter road but some mates who were there were stuck for 4 hours after the end of the show. The park and ride was a joke, we gave it a miss when we realised the buses were joining the same queue as us to get into the airfield.
