I have started downloading data using the following link to find out sunrise/sunset times for going out and about. Its pretty good especially at this time of year.

That's a good one. I've only ever used Time and Date - http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=304

Also, other ideas that were sent via email (from iPhones) include:

Grant: If anyone happens to have an android phone, iPod touch or iPhone, they can also download the free Met Office app, which has the times for sunrise and sunset each day.

Glen: Hi All another good app is for the iPhone. It's called sun seeker takes your gps location then gives you sun up and down locations in 3d great idea.

You could also use Sundroid app on Android.  This gives sunrise and sunset times, plus moon rise & set.  The pro version (only £1.99) also gives a compass direction for rise/set, golden hour times and planet rise/set as well, which might help you plan an outing for a landscape shoot...
