I think Andy did a reasonable job. He's quite new to the appraising circuit and appraising "Monochrome" was always going to be a tough task.
I felt he was a wee bit harsh, especially on the beginners but he was generally consistent. There were a couple of images that I thought were over or under marked - by that I mean that the mark he awarded did not, to me, reflect the comments that he made about them. And, as usual, there were some images that he didn't like and the marks awarded reflected his personal preference - that's just human nature.
